the room was bright; windows of the palace were placed perfectly to pick up the light any time of the day. everything was perfect. everything. and then there was her. and she was perfect too; and she knew that quite well. it was not too hard for her to think highly of herself even in front of such beautiful sun rays shining all around the italy. even though, she never spoke such words out loud. she knew where limitations of lady‘s place were. and she played a role. played it, and enjoyed at every moment of her life. the painter was boring. very boring. she yawned. he look at her with a surprise that confused her for a second. then she just gave him an alluring smile and he looked back at the painting. and she won again.

it‘s no doubt that she was favored by her father. but all of the children of the pope were. she didn‘t bother though. she could only see herself in that one room each and every day of her life. and her sister, perhaps; sometimes. others were just shadows that walked around the palace, shadows that she rarely threw an eye on.

but she loved all of them.

in a very weird sense of love even she herself could not explain.
not like she ever even tried to.
she didn‘t need to, so why the would she?

it‘s a strange world she lived in.
but that‘s okay too, because she had everything and even more.
and nobody could ever say no to her.
they called her spoiled. most of them.
but she didn‘t care.
they were the one jealous, not her.

in a strange note, she was quite simple, once you met her; she knew her standards, she knew who she was, and she was intelligent enough to learn fast. her words were precisely chosen, tricky, in fact.

but that‘s what made the game all a lot more entertaining.

she was irritated at the painter who didn‘t know how to paint, apparently; all those questions to move here, and there and then suddenly don‘t move were getting her tired. she did not understand why her father wanted another portrait of her. not like he had like, what, 23?

exagerrating. she liked to do that.
it was fun. simple as that.

she rolled her eyes, finally giving up on the guy behind the stand, and walked away, ignoring his calls that he‘s not done yet. she knew she‘s going to anger the pope. but he forgave her every time anyway. this one wasn‘t any different.
